If you are like me, you get tired of folks that know God on a first name basis. You know who I mean. I'm taking about the folks that know everything about God and sees God's hand at work in everything from a drop of rain to a good bowel movement. Okay, finding God in a good bowel movement may be stretching the point just a wee bit. But, some folks find God in everything that happens. The sun comes up - PRAISE GOD!!! The sun goes down - PRAISE GOD!!! They find the lost remote for the television just before their favorite show - PRAISE GOD!!!

I hope you get the point. I'm not saying that praising God is wrong. I do it all the time. Here's an example of a time that I thought God was listening. I was having a major pity party for myself because God talked to everybody but me. The people at work hear God's voice, the minister at church hears God's voice, the folks on television hear God's voice and that voice told one of them that there was something special about a thousand dollar seed..aka...a gift to his ministry. So I decided that if God was going to talk to everybody but me, I wasn't going to talk to Him until he gave me a dollar. You know, something tangible that couldn't be disputed. I'm sure that really shook up God. Nick Leigh was going to snub him.

I left work and headed home, but I needed to stop at Lowes and pickup a couple of items. I got out of my truck and walked towards the store. I noticed something blowing across the parking lot. I stood there and watched as the wind blew a piece of paper towards me from about fifty feet away. After a few seconds, the piece of paper stopped at my feet. I bent down and picked it up. It was a one dollar bill. So tell me, was it God? I like to think so. Technically, He didn't actually give me the dollar, but I think I'll count it as being sent from God.

Do you have a story or event that you want to share?

BTW. I haven't figured out how to let you add a story to my website yet. But feel free to type in the box. The reset button works. Yeah!!! If you email me your story I'll add it to my site. Eventually I'll get around to finishing the code for the add button....nick@nickleigh.com
