John Bourdeau has served the Lord his entire life. Still, something is missing. Near death, he is returning to Earth to end his days. But an encounter with a bag-lady named Rosetta on a distant planet changes his plans. She professes to know God’s will for John, and she is not the least bit bashful in sharing His will. Her version of God’s will appears to strike at the very foundation of Christianity. God wants John to be born into a world as the Messiah for that world. She will guide him from her space station via a telepathic link, and all miracles will be founded in technology. John refuses to accept her words. But the Lord persuades him to follow the old woman. God’s purpose for John leads him to love, war, crucifixion, and salvation, and finally quiets the yearning in his soul.
